The Mornington Unit, Huntley Centre
The Mornington Unit is a purpose built 12-bed male psychiatric intensive
care unit which opened three years’ ago, based at Huntley Centre, St
Pancras Hospital in central London.

G Grade £27,140 - £31,200 p.a. inc.

This is a unique and exciting new position!
As a dynamic Mental Health Nurse you will work within our multidisciplinary
team. You will be educated to degree level and have experience of working
in mental health with Service Users from black and ethnic minority
communities. You will have an understanding of how cultural factors shape
clinical encounters between patients and health professionals, with
experience of working with interpreters and a commitment to meeting
patients’ religious and spiritual needs. You will also possess the
necessary sensitivity and skills to deal with discrimination in a health
setting. Ideally you will also speak a second language.
There are established links with the Clinical Anthropology Unit at
University College London and opportunities to pursue academic training and
research in the field of cross-cultural psychiatry.
