International Mining History Congress
The International Mining History Congress (IMHC) invites applications from
persons interested in becoming members of an international communication
panel who will become involved in the decision-making process associated
with running the 2006 International Mining History Congress. We are looking
for two or three representatives from each country who can join our
international discussion group and who believe they can contribute towards
the success of the 2006 and future meetings.
Nominations have already been received for Japan, Canada, the UK, Mexico,
and the United States of America, but there is a serious lack of names from
amongst mining history interests in continental Europe, Africa and South
America. Ideally, nominations for membership should be submitted before 31st
January 2004 to allow involvement in the process of deciding on a venue for
the Congress in 2006.
Please submit your names for consideration, to Dr. Peter Claughton,
