Hi
I'm wondering if anyone can help please. On UK television recently, a
programme showed a horde of pre-Roman silver coins at a postulated
ceremonial site in Leicestershire. The interpretation of the horde was
that much of it came from tribes living in the south of the UK
(Hants/Dorset/Wilts). Would anyone know or care to guess where the silver
originally came from?
Going forward in time, does anyone know of a not too technical book/paper
etc. relating to the Roman lead mines in the Mendip Hills of Somerset?
