Hi Rick,
Thanks for the info. I don't suppose there is any way of getting hold of
Colin Buck, and finding out which engine house and if it has been
surveyed? Unfortunately the two books are a bit short of details of 19th
century information. According to Trounson the pumping engine was an
80in which replaced a 50in, but Barton gives the Sims as a 32/60 which
is a pumping engine.
Perhaps other people can offer information.
