Is this the same building tha appears in the photograph on p113 of "The
steam engines of Thomas Newcomen" - by LTC Rolt & JS Allen?
described as
"Remains of a castellated engine house at Birdwell, near Barnsley. This had
an atmospheric engine built in 1813 and drained ironstone mines."
