SPMA is organising a weekend conference on the development of the industrial
landscape of Blaenavon, South Wales, recently designated a World Heritage
Site.
The conference runs from Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime, and includes
field visits on Saturday to Blaenavon Iron works, the Big Pit mining museum,
the town centre, and a coach tour of outlying features. Speakers on Friday
and Sunday will give insights into various facets of this complex and
well-preserved industrial settlement.
