Dear the list,
According to Fumio Yoshiki's monograph entitled 'How Japan's
Metal Mining Industries Modernized' (The United Nation University,
Tokyo, 1980), the two men are spelt as follows;
James Dale
John Simmons
The list members who are interested in Japanese mining may find
the above monograph useful.
Further, a number of Japanese mining historians will participate
in the 6th Internationl Mining History Congress to be held in
Hokkaido, Japan 26-29 September this year. Please visit the web
site: http://www.imhc2003.com for further information.
