Hi All,
As a new comer to this list, and a member of the Mining History Association,
from the US, I have found your list's subject matter to be most interesting.
The ropeways thread was rather timely as I have a great interest in that
area. I passed the website on the Andes ropeway to Robert Trennert, author of
"Riding The High Wire, Aerial Tramways in the West ," who thought it was a
terrific website. Great stuff. Thank you David Kitching for posting it.
I would like to thank Roger Gosling for inviting me to join your
knowledgeable group and Peter Claughton who has helped me in the past
answering some questions that I had. It has been said that we speak the same
language but we don't understand each other.>) I am trying to decipher your
terms to the American equivalents.
Thank you all,
