Dear Marianne
In addition to my own PhD (which I've already informed you about), I am
supervising one PhD student (recently registered) and one midwife
undertaking a taught doctorate ( at the thesis stage). In Wales as a whole
there is a practising midwife who has a PhD but not in midwifery, two
midwives with PhDs working at Univ of Glamorgan and one midwife working at
Health professions Wales.
Best wishes
Billie

Subject: British midwives PhD
Dear Colleagues,
I have received a request from a French midwife who has been asked to
address a conference on the topic "construire une dynamique professionnelle
par la recherche" which translates as "to build a professional dynamic
through research". She is looking for information on the number of British
midwives who already have a PhD and on the professional activities that
midwives with a PhD undertake.
I would be grateful if members of the list could provide a list of names
and present activities. That will enable me to check out duplicates and
have a general view of the situation for this colleague.
Many thanks
Marianne Mead
