With improved equipment and decreasing costs, digital recording has become
far more accessible, offering a range of opportunities to academic staff.

valuable tool. It assumes no pre-knowledge.
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
* operate the camera's most useful features;
* understand how to compose well-framed and lit shots;
* understand the different types of microphone available and when to use
them;
* record broadcastable pictures and sound;
* understand digital connection and download to computer, and storage on
tape/computer file.
This is a practical, hands-on introduction to digital camera operation.
Delegates will be divided into groups of two, and each pair will each be
supplied with a Sony DV camera Kit for the day.
The course is limited to a maximum of 10 participants.
