The National Gallery is seeking an Editor (New Media) to join its dynamic,
friendly New Media team developing a range of multimedia to help visitors to
enjoy the collection to the full. Initially working on its major Micro
Gallery project, an exciting update of the Gallery's original,
ground-breaking system, you will play a key role in both creating and
managing the development of engaging content about the Gallery's permanent
collection making full use of up to the minute new media.
Excellent communication skills, organisational ability, creative thinking
and attention to detail are all requirements for this challenging and
rewarding post. You will have ability to work within constraints of
resources, time and budget to achieve project milestones and to manage
freelance staff when required.
You must have a minimum of a first degree, preferably in Art History, a
passion for communicating and 2-3 years' experience of developing attractive
and stimulating material for a broad audience.
Salary in the region of £19,700 to £24,000 pa.
