We asked to the suppliers for a list of titles that were due each month
- Askews were our suppliers. Our biggest problem was that librarians
forgot we had titles on standing order and kept ordering duplicates. We
abandoned it.

Middlesbrough Libraries are planning to set up Fiction standing orders.
At
present, all titles showing as 'on order' on our system (DS Galaxy) can
be
reserved as soon as the order is placed. If we set up standing orders,
the
titles will not show up on our system until they arrive - which means
they
can't be reserved until then. Has anyone else had this problem and if
so
how did you solve it? We do not have EDI, although we are working
towards
it. Does having it help with this?
