Business Information: Resource Management Strategies

Desktop and public access to the Internet is commonplace, with the result that many users have direct access to a wide range of resources of variable quality. Directing them to more reliable sources - and managing this access - presents both a challenge and an opportunity to the information professional. This workshop provides a step by step guide to setting up a resource management strategy. It includes identifying patterns of usage; how to select appropriate resources; free and fee based services; content, IT and contractual issues; and managing and marketing resources. 
 
This course is aimed at those who have some experience of electronic business information and who are involved in selecting and maintaining access to those resources.
