God no!
None of us should have to change, the stereotype should! The younger
generations of librarians have had to suffer long enough.
My colleagues at work arranged a night out over xmas and reluctantly
invited me thinking I would be dull company because I'm a librarian. I
dressed up to the nines (as I usually do when I go out) and a few jaws
dropped when I got to the party. They could not believe how different I
looked out of my work clothes and saw the real me...fun, bubbly and outgoing!
This just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover(excuse the pun!!!)
People forget we are normal human beings too who do regular things/have fun
just the same as anyone else!
