Temporary post to cover maternity leave.
 
Hours: 37 per week (applicants for part-time will be considered)

Salary: £22,259.32-£24,111.44 per annum, pro rata

We are seeking to recruit an experienced librarian to assist in all areas of
hospital library management.  You will work in the Medical and the Patients
Library "Speaking Volumes" and be responsible for the management and day to
day running of both libraries.  You will make a valuable contribution to all
professional library activity including: policy writing/updating, literature
searching, acquisitions, cataloguing, classification, training library users
in the use of electronic resources, dealing with enquiries, promoting the
services, overseeing the work of the volunteers and other duties as
required.

Candidates should have an information or library qualification and be
comfortable working alone in the presence of psychiatric clients / within a
team of library staff and volunteers, aiding  hospital personnel and
patients with their information and library needs.  The post requires
excellent communication and IT skills.
