The Classical Faculty Library provides essential services
in support of the teaching and research within the Faculty of Classics.
In addition to housing a wide range of traditional printed material,
the Library also provides an increasing number of subject-specific
electronic resources. See

We are seeking a Graduate Library Trainee:
Salary £12,982 per annum, pro rata fixed term to August 2004.
Duties include day-to-day supervision of the issue desk,
basic cataloguing, updating of the Intranet, book processing,
some reader induction and basic level IT support.
Excellent IT skills are desirable.
This post will provide a good grounding in all aspects of
library work and would suit graduates considering a career
in libraries.
It includes visits to other libraries in Cambridge,
arranged with graduate trainees working in the Colleges.
An interest in the Classical World is an advantage.
