Faculty Team Librarian
(Science and Engineering Faculties Team)
This is a fixed-term post to cover a secondment and is available for 1 year
from 1st March 2003.
Faculty Team Librarians support learning, teaching and research activities
through the delivery of user-focused services to University students,
researchers and staff. They are responsible for collection management and
development and the provision of information skills sessions. Applicants
should be graduates or equivalent and a professional library qualification
or substantial relevant experience is essential. You will also have good IT
skills, and your communication, teaching and presentation skills should be
excellent. A teamworker, you will have a strong commitment to customer
service and the ability to work under pressure and balance workloads. The
postholder is likely to have specific responsibilities in the areas of
Chemistry, Colour Chemistry, Food Science and Mathematics. A relevant
degree or experience in these subject areas, particularly with chemical
information, is desirable.
Grade: Senior Library Grade 1 or 2 (£18,265 - £26,270)
