Here at the University of Bath Library we are investigating how the
Library can provide electronic information skills packages for students
to work through online. I would be very pleased to hear from anyone
doing development work in this area.
1. What has been your experience of using web-based/online information
skills training packages with students or staff?
2. Which software do you use to create and/or deliver e-information
skills training?
3. If you use the Resource Discovery Network Virtual Training Suite
(http://www.vts.rdn.ac.uk/), what are the advantages and disadvantages
of this ready-made resource?
4. Do you use these methods for library induction, or later in-depth
information skills training, or both?
5. If you have specifically decided against delivering information
skills training online, what were your reasons?
I'd be very interested to hear of any experiences in this area, good or bad!
