We're considering the installation of an electronic information display system, to keep library users informed of news and changes, both during our forthcoming period of major refurbishment and extension of the library building, and afterwards in our new surroundings. Such systems typically provide a number of strategically-placed monitors/plasma screens linked to a server. We do not expect our system to be interactive for users, as other options are available for this.
I'm already following up several leads, but I'd be very interested to hear from any library with experience of running such a system, whether successful or otherwise. Many thanks.
