a) Changes to the CHEST/City Mutual Agreement - Business Class
---------------------------------------------------------------
The popular CHEST Agreement with City Mutual for their vocational
learning support resources has recently been updated. The
Agreement will now be known as the CM Education Agreement and can
be found on the table of CHEST Dataset Agreements under CM Education.
CM Education have also added a new product, Business Class, to
the Agreement.
Business Class is a web-based learning tool designed specifically
for the Internet. Comprising 25 easy-to-read chapters covering all
the major topics, each is followed by a comprehensive multiple-choice
quiz designed to reinforce and add to the ideas introduced in the
text.
Business Class is aimed both at newcomers to business-related
courses and those wishing to revise or reinforce their learning.
It can be used as a primer, or in conjunction with course books
as a digest of the key issues and a test-bed for their understanding.
Business Class Supports:
--> HND/BTEC Business
--> HND/BTEC Business and Leisure
--> HNC Business Studies
--> AVCE Business Studies
--> SGA Business
--> AS/A Level Business Studies

b) New CHEST/Inspec Agreement - Service Provision
--------------------------------------------------
As a service to those institutions subscribing under the current CHEST
Agreement for Inspec, CHEST hopes to send out a series of messages over
the next few months, both in the CHEST Data Messenger and on the
CHEST-INSPEC JISCmail list, which provide details of the Service
Providers available under the new Agreement. Each email will include a
brief message from one of the Service Providers available under the new
Agreement.
These emails are intended to inform sites of the various different
services available and to remind them that they are free to select the
Service Provider of their choice under the new Agreement.
Details of all CHEST authorised Inspec Service Providers can be found at
