PRESENTATION SKILLS
CILIP WORKSHOP, 2 FEBRUARY 2004, LONDON
This one-day workshop is ideal for anyone who wants to learn how to make effective presentations with confidence.
It is designed to build participants' understanding of what makes a good presentation, and offers the opportunity to practise making a presentation and using visual aids in an informal, friendly and supportive atmosphere.
BY THE END OF THE EVENT PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO:
* explain the purpose of presentations
* identify what to include and what not to include in a presentation
* prepare effectively for delivering a presentation
* list the ground rules for using visual aids and the advantages and disadvantages of each of them
* choose the appropriate visual aid for a particular presentation
* use flipcharts, OHPs, Powerpoint, and props effectively
* deliver a presentation effectively
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This workshop is for people who have some experience of delivering presentations and who want to develop further their skills and ability in this area.
SPECIAL NOTES
To get the most from the workshop it is essential for participants to practise their skills and receive feedback in a safe environment. Participants should therefore do some preparation before the workshop and come ready to give a very brief presentation.
