EDUCATION MANAGEMENT INFORMATION EXCHANGE (EMIE)
Part-time (.5) Information Officer / Senior Information Officer
£18,265 - £27,339 (Pro rata)
EMIE facilitates networking and the sharing of information on education
management policy and practice between local authorities in the UK. We wish
to appoint a qualified information officer to join the team as soon as
possible. The post will support staff working in or with local authority
education services by providing a range of information, disseminating good
practice and communicating research findings relevant to the needs of
practitioners.
This is a temporary appointment until 31st December 2003.
Duties will include:
*selecting and preparing information for the publication of a bi-monthly
bulletin of education management abstracts *responding to clients' enquiries
*gathering information for EMIE's databases
*and contributing to current awareness within the EMIE team on developments
in specific areas of public sector education.
The person appointed will be required to work 17 ½ hours per week. When
