Dear Edward
Can't really help, except to say that c1978 I had a short sabbatical to do
some work on late C19 UK monumental reference works (see short paper in
'Bibliography and reading: a Festschrift in honour of Ronald Staveley'
Scarecrow 1983) which led to questions on print runs and sales. Consulted
James Mosley of St Bride Printing Library who was fairly sure that the
archives of publishers I was interested in succumbed to the Luftwaffe in
'40 or '41 which blitzed Paternoster Row, home of several publishers.
Where were B & E?
As a long shot, have you tried Guildhall Library here in the Flower of

Dear Colleagues,
Can anyone tell me of the existence of any archives of the publishers
Bradbury & Evans? I am particularly interested in locating commercial
documents concerning the printing and publishing of Dickens' "Bleak House"
monthly parts 1852-1853.
Thanks,
Edward
