You definitely are not alone here in Trinity College we have lost at least
30 books since last year and most of the libraries had used Hays to return
their books we have had to change our policies as a result and now no
longer lend to public libraries in Britain.

You are not alone Linda. We reckon to have lost at least 13 of our books to
Hays DX since December 2002. At least 2 of these are out of print, and
another cost around £220.00!!
I'd be interested to hear if anyone has found a solution to this one.
