WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The course content assumes a professional interest from an
education(teachers and library staff), archive, public library or museum
perspective.
This one-day course considers relevant case studies of cross-sectorial
working between the library, archive and education sectors and contains very
practical advice from both an education and an archive/local history
perspective on ways of working to meet these agendas.
OUTCOMES
By the end of the day, participants will have considered:
- Actual and potential links between education and local history
- Strategies for involving excluded sectors of the community
- Practical ways of developing “local” educational resources

LEADER
The course will be presented on behalf of CSP by Jon Newman, Archives and
Library Manager for the London Borough of Lambeth. Jon has significant
project management experience of digitisation and education projects and has
recently published Windrush Forbears, Black People in Lambeth, 1700 - 1900,
the first stage of a local black history education project.
