Hi,
Oh Dear! It appears that those of us who have signed the NESLI license
with Kluwer are not entitled to access Maik Nauka titles after all.
Apologies to those of you who thought Christmas had come early this
year, and that includes myself!
When I saw Meiko's message I thought that the information I provided in
response was accurate and up to date.
Prior to this week, I had always understood that the NESLI offer that
many of us signed didn't allow access to Maik Nauka titles. However,
during my checking of Kluwer titles this week to locate additional
content I kept coming across some MN titles I could get into the full
text of and others I couldn't. Because of this I sent an email to my
contact at SwetsBlackwell trying to find out just what we are entitled
to access. As a result I was forwarded a spreadsheet that had been
forwarded to them from Kluwer. Unfortunately this spreadsheet was
incorrect in that it listed all of their titles, including the Maik
Nauka titles.
My contact has now told me that Kluwer have confirmed today that none of
the Maik Nauka titles are included in the Nesli offer due to contractual
reasons.
This example illustrates the confusion that many of us are faced with
regarding which titles we can access as part of Kluwer NESLI deal (or
any other deal!). It sounds so straightforward, but isn't.
At least we hadn't added them to our OPAC yet!!
Cheers
Lesley
