I was at a chartership event a couple of weeks ago in Edinburgh and it was mentioned that there was a problem with the printers and that the mailing had been delayed - we should expect to receive it soon.

Subject: Consultation document regarding Chartership - qu'est-ce que
c'est ?
It says in the new issue of Update "by now you should all be in possession
of the consultation document" for Chartership changes - so far, nothing has
been received, neither at home nor place of work - so that I can ask CILIP
for a copy, what exactly are they talking about (I assume it's not the
re-issue of the "Purple book" that was doing the rounds last summer).
The article seems to be re-worded in a positive fashion (it even talks about
"imaginative ways of validating non-professional activities and other
accreditation). Maybe the light is at last filtering through.
It would be ironic that now that we are all going to be made clerical at
University CILIP is giving us a Chartership profile that has some
credibility ?
