Workers in Britain have least holiday time in EU
According to a survey by Mercer Human Resource Consulting, the UK has the
fewest public holidays within the EU, with only eight a year. Earlier this
year a government think-tank suggested that Britain should establish
regional bank holidays across the country. Workers' entitlement of 28
days off, puts them at the bottom of the EU league table
