Further to my e-mails last week about fitting the experience from 2 or more
posts into the PDR word limit, my approach (thematic treatment of the
various posts, and putting detail of mission statements/ service aims and
objectives, etc. into appendices) was clearly acceptable, as I found out on
Saturday that my PDR has been accepted first time!
I had got myself so geared up to the idea that I would be unsuccessful or
would at least be asked to write some extra material, that, when the
recorded delivery package arrived, I thought CILIP were sending my PDR back
to be rewritten! I submitted my PDR on 17 March, so it took about 4 months
to make the decision.
I would like to thank everyone on this list for their helpful suggestions
throughout the year, and to wish everyone working towards their chartership
all the best. My experience has taught me that, although it was hard work,
it is worth it in the end. My advice would be -keep positive, It can be
done!
