Dear All,
I am very new to this chartership process - in fact I only enquired
about it last week. I have the CILIP regulations and notes of guidance
which I find the most confusing document as routes A and B are
completely mingled throughout and difficult to locate and follow.
As I work in an unsupervised environment I have to follow route B and
would like some advice on the chronology of events. I have already
worked for 18 months which I have been told is still valid for my
qualifying period. I am assuming the next thing to do is register with
a personal development plan and a certified copy of my MA certificate.
After that it becomes hazy. Am I right in thinking that as soon as my 2
years are up I submit the Certificate of Completion (form CPRB)? When
do I submit the long report (application for chartered membership)? Do
I submit it with the certificate or can I write it after this date? Are
these the only things I have to submit or are there others that I have
overlooked? Can anyone give me any advice on what the portfolio
entails?
I would be grateful for any help you can give. I already feel a little
isolated as not only do I work on my own, but I also work in The
Netherlands and CILIP seem to be a little reluctant to recommend me a
liason officer.
