Dear All,
Thank you for all the responses and varied opinions! In short you are
pretty much split down the middle. The general feeling seems to be that if
the fiction collection is purely for pleasure then the F/MUR option is the
better of the two. For a more academic usage DDC wins everytime!
As a result I have decided to keep our fiction collection separate (as it is
now) and go for F/MUR. The fiction section is really for general pleasure
reading. In addition a fair proportion of our dance students come from
abroad and we also have a high level of students with dyslexia, so this
system would seem to offer the best solution. The other bonus is time
saved - I fly solo here (with a p/t library assistant) and time is an
important factor.
Thanks for all your suggestions and helpful feedback. If anyone would like
more detailed feedback let me know and I will forward the many emails to
you!
Well I am off to compile my summer jobs list - guess which job is going top
of the list...
Thanks again.
Sam
