I was really talking about Emilce's first suggested topic!
Lucy, does this have to be user training? Or could you give a training
session to other staff on how to handle enquiries or difficult users etc.
Also if you have used a specific database you may want to give a
presentation on how to use this - that could occupy 15mins.

Might be - I also had to do a 10 minute presentation (on the
opportunities and weaknesses of managing a multi-site specialized
information service) for my current employer. The last presentation I
did prior to that was at University, which is completely different to
interviewing (although you are being graded on it - a job that you
really want is not dependent upon it!)
I had some training from one of my old Lecturers at Strathclyde who just
happened to be free and stay quite near me. Although it wasn't really
on the content, I had my own ideas about what to do, I was really
nervous about having to stand up in front of a panel and my success
depended on how well I did with the presentation! Without it I don't
think I'd have got the job. I was having a hard time controlling nerves
etc! Another plus of using this list is that that you get more ideas on
different topics, even just confirming your ideas with someone helps.
Good luck Lucy,
Jo

How about Sex and the Library ? Being the NHS you should be able to tap
in
your resources - that will perk them up !!!
Also "the future" of the internet goes down well -
