Hi All
I was about to send a letter to CILIP to ask the following questions, but I
was wondering if anyone could offer some advice on the following points,
before I put anything in writing. I apologise in advance for the length of
this message!
1. When you submit your PPDP to CILIP, are you then notified by them that
the plan has been approved prior to you commencing the training?
2. If you tick the box that says "tick here if you want feedback on your
plan" what do you get back?
3. When does the qualifying period begin? Is it the date you graduated,
or took up a professional post, or is it the date you registered on your
chosen Route? (I graduated July '02 and have been in the same post for 5
years - non-professional)
4. Do you have to submit the RegB form and the PPDP together or can they
go in separately? If separately - what is the deadline for submission?
5. This is a bit long-winded but here goes...If you are doing your Route B
training based on the Route A template and 1 year into the training you get
a professional post and decide to move to Route A, do you then have to do
the whole year of Route A, or would the work you have already done be taken
into account?
I'm sorry there are so many questions, but no-one in my organisation has
ever done Route B and my mentor and line manager have asked me to clarify
these points.
Any advice at all is much appreciated.
Molly
