***apologies for cross posting***
The 2002 Chartership regulations require submission by application for
chartered membership consisting of a 4000 word proforma and evaluative
portfolio of professional development.
Overview:
Creating portfolios is increasingly necessary to show development and
attainment of skills and competencies, whether to display continuing
professional development or for a formal qualification. This workshop
is aimed specifically at those working towards the Submission for
Chartered Membership of CILIP. The Workshop is designed to help you
develop the skills necessary to evaluate and select documents for
inclusion into the portfolio, but also to encourage you to keep a
permanent "Professional Development Portfolio" throughout your career.
Aims:
§ To define what a portfolio is
§ Identify the skills necessary to develop one.
§ To help identify professional development skills gaps, and
action plan to fill them.
§ To introduce self-evaluation to identify evidence
§ To offer practical tips on the creation process.
§ To promote portfolios as a way of maintaining your continuing
professional development.
