Hi Jean
I know this was tongue in cheek but we already have one or two colouring
books and things for our younger visitors to play with (supplied by me
personally!). We also try and give them our free book marks, chocolates from
the tree at Christmas etc. I always think youngsters should be encouraged to
visit libraries and besides it keeps them quiet whilst their parents are
using the library!
regards

Dear All,
As we glanced at this this morning and saw that the new plan was talking
about family friendly services and providing creche's in libraries, I was
heard to remark that it was aimed mainly at Public Libraries and wouldn't
really affect us. However ....so far today we have had twelve children of
various ages in the library, accompanying their parents, as it is half-term
of course!!!!
Perhaps we should have some of those brightly coloured boxes full of picture
books that you can sit on the floor and browse through.
