I have had a few queries regarding the LIHNN website. This is now homed at www.aditus.nhs.uk. We agreed this with the LIHNN Coordinating Committee so that LIHNN could enjoy the functionality of an advanced piece of software and could help to control and contribute to the knowledge communities throughout aditus
Once you are in the aditus site (& preferably logged on with your athens password) go to Knowledge Communities/By Profession and you will see the LIHNN Community listed in the boxes at the bottom of the page. At present there is not much content there due to the fact that I am currently redesigning the template to match as closely as possible the work done by the LIHNN Coordinating Committee recently and trying to tie in the original LIHNN website research. This should be complete by next week and we can start putting up content. Currently Meeting details inc. maps, agendas and minutes and Events can be added, so if you have any of these to go on the site please pass them to Fran or Shan for addition to the site. Eventually everyone will be able to submit contributions online for the site and then selected editors will be able to approve the addition of the submitted content.
The Libraries Directory and the Union Catalogue will be a separate piece of software (integrated into the website) which will be developed over the 6-8 weeks - we are in the process of producing a functionality and technical specification at present and will be consulting with a selection of librarians to ensure everything is 'hunky dory'!
After that we shall add in an online training booking system.
I confess and sincerely apologise for the fact that we are about 4-6 weeks behind on this project due to the hiccups that athens has created. I am trying my best to get us back on track and catch up some of the time and e-tempest have put more staff on to the project to try and help.
I hope this helps to clarify the situation at present, but if you have any further queries or comments please do not hesitate to contact me.
Regards
Emma
