Preference will be given to candidates with a strong publication record and
some success in acquiring research grants. You will be expected to
collaborate on research with existing members of the Department who
specialise in industrial organisation. Teaching undergraduate courses in
the general area of industrial organisation and micro economics/managerial
economics, you may also contribute to teaching on postgraduate courses. It
is expected that the person appointed will have, or will be close to
completing, a PhD in Economics.
The Department of Economics is part of the Management School, which
received a 5* research rating for the second consecutive time in 2001, and
as a result the School is enjoying a period of expansion with respect to
staffing.
This post will commence no later than October 2003 and will be for 2 years
in the first instance.
