Due to the SARS outbreak, the conference "Healthy Buildings 2003",
Singapore, was postponed from July to December 7th-12th, 2003.
The conference has the Aims & Scope:
- To increase the awareness of healthy indoor environment and
energy-efficient building globally, including a special theme for
developing countries.
- To create a multi-disciplinary forum on the development and advances
made in the field of indoor air quality and climate to achieve healthy,
comfortable and productive environments.
- To allow interactions among scientists, policy makers, medical, legal
and building professionals on the application of state-of-the-art
research to practical problems encountered in the design, construction,
operation and retrofitting of buildings.
- The scope of the Conference covers all building
Even though the main scope of this conference is not pointed toward
cultural heritage, there are usually a handful of papers during the
conference on this topic.
And, as for the last HB conference (Helsinki 2000) and Indoor Air
conference (Monterey 2002), there will be a workshop session on "Indoor
Air Quality and Climate in Cultural and Heritage Collections", hosted by
the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate (ISIAQ).
Time and date for the workshop is not set yet, but the programme will be
