MIDIRS (The Midwives
' Information and Resource Service) provides a worldwide
information service for midwives and other health professionals (for further
details see www.midirs.org). Due to our increased workload another Information
Officer / Librarian is required to join our small friendly team based in central
Bristol.
The role is varied and includes cataloguing, abstracting, literature searching,
proof reading, and dealing with customer enquiries. We are looking for an
enthusiastic team worker, with excellent English language skills and a
meticulous approach to detail. Some experience of working with health
information and a library/information qualification would be an advantage, but
are not essential.
Benefits include annual starting salary circa £16K, 27 days' annual leave,
pension scheme and flexi-time. The post is full time and permanent.
