London Borough of Hackney
LLPG Manager
£30,267- £32,682 pa inc (2 years contract with a possibility of an
extension)
It’s our borough. Be part of it.
As part of its e-government strategy, London Borough of Hackney is
developing its Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG). We are seeking to
recruit three members of staff to help us to create a database which will
soon provide an authoritative address reference for all other Council
property databases and Customer Relationship Management Systems. It also
feeds into the National Land and Property Gazetteer. Candidates are
required to have in depth knowledge of BS7666 schema.
In particular we seek an LLPG Manager with a good communication, GIS and
Database skills to take responsibility for developing the gazetteer and to
champion its use throughout the council. This will be a significant and
high profile role since 80% of all the information that the Authority holds
is property related data. The work will be varied and it will involve
promoting the Gazetteer’s use, representing the Council on relevant groups,
liaising with the national custodian, using GIS and database management
tools to help and maintain the gazetteer, undertaking quality assurance
tests and supporting users. Ref: CEPC09/JISC.
To obtain an application pack, please contact our Response Handling
Consultants, Bartlett Scott Edgar, Bartlett House, 65-67 Wilson Street,
London, EC2A 2LT or telephone 020 7382 7523.
Alternatively, email [log in to unmask] quoting the appropriate
reference number and your full contact address and contact number(s). The
closing date for receipt of completed applications is 5pm, 17th December
2003.
The interview will take place on Thursday 8th January 2004
One of the core values of the Council is an unequivocal commitment to the
principle and operation of equality in terms of how we deliver the best
services to our customers and all the people of Hackney, how we recruit,
and how we support our staff. We welcome applications from people who can
make that principle a reality.
