Bassey,
The understanding should be that you make that person a coauthor
on a publication.

>Dear Colleague,
>I am carrying out a research on 'The Precambrian Geology of parts of
>southeastern Nigeria', I require bulk geochemical data(major,minor,trace
>and rare earth elements) on samples(granite gneiss, migmatitic gneiss &
>schist as well as an Ultramafic rock) already collected from the field, but
>lacks the facility(ICP MS, or XRF) to do the analysis. The rare earth
>elemental(REE) composition of these samples is most desirable.
>I trust that a colleague will come to my rescue so that I can mail the
>powderized samples immediately for the analysis, after which the result can
>be communicated to me vide my email address, [log in to unmask] I will
>really appreciate it if ten(10) or at least five(5) of these samples are
>used for the analysis. I would surely co-author the person.
>Thanks in anticipation of your cooperation.
