Postdoctoral fellowship in fluid-rock interaction/ stable isotope geochemistry,
University of Southern California
Applications are requested for a postdoctoral fellow to conduct research on the
nature of fluid-rock interaction in processes of crustal evolution, including aspects of
the role of fluids in the thermal and mechanical evolution of metamorphic core
complexes. The postdoctoral fellow will be expected to pursue field-based
petrologic and stable isotopic studies of fluid-hosted fault zone processes, and be
actively involved in the stable isotope lab. A PhD in the general area of
geochemistry is required and experience in stable isotope analytical techniques is
desirable. Please send a CV and names and contact information of three referees to
Prof. Jean Morrison, Department of Earth Sciences, University of Southern
California, Los Angeles, CA 90089-0740 ([log in to unmask]). Review of
applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
