Tomas,
I measured apatite/fluid partition coefficients for REE and used them to
model REE mobility in the following paper:
Ayers, J.C., and Watson, E.B. (1993) Apatite/fluid partitioning of
rare-earth elements and strontium; experimental results at 1.0 GPa and 1000
degrees C and application to models of fluid-rock interaction. Geochemistry
of accessory minerals; papers presented at the Third V. M. Goldschmidt
conference. Chemical Geology, 110(1-3), 299-314.
Best regards,
John

Subject: Re: REE behavior
Hi all,
Just a question...apatite is known to cumulate vast amounts of REEs. Could
it have any influence on REE mobility during some metamorphic or metasomatic
mobilization events?
Tomas
