There are experimental constraints on the composition of melts from
two mica schists. Patino Douce & Harris found that trodnhjemitic
compositions resulted from H2O fluxed melting, whereas muscovite
dehydration melting resulted in granite compositions. (J Pet, v39,
689-710, 1998). Whether leucosomes represent primary melts though is
another question.
