Yes, I agree with your comment. Even if the granite is
synmetamorphic, its early cooling history is not strongly perturbed
if it intrudes into low grade rocks. It turns out that the
thermochronology was done on igneous rocks in two of the three field
areas that Becky discussed. It is still not known whether those
intrusions are pre-, syn- or post-memtamorphic, at least based on the
information she provided and in the references she cited.
