I entirely agree with your views There is Dahne Hampson at St A's itself but
I doubt if her post-Chtristain views would allow her to speak or maybe she
doesn't wish to be involved
Dr Ruth Page from Edinburgh New College Fac of Div has written and spoken
widley on aspects of this topic but since retirng is may be taking a
backseat
I agree that a voice from India would be good but ....the male-stream...and
the programme already set up might make it very difficult theology and
creativity can be very broadly interpreted ...so a good case for Bandit
Queen in this broad way could be made?

Subject: Re: St Andrews Colloquium
Hi Shashi,
thanks for the message - I haven't got your email details so I am afraid
that this goes to the list in general - apologies - But what I am going to
say relates to anyone else interested in responding to the colloquium's
dearth of headlined women contributors -
the contact address for this colloquium is
Steven Guthrie
[[log in to unmask]].
the conference itself is taking place at St Andrews, Scotland in March - and
I believe is all sealed up - but it is always possible that they might
welcome some contributions from women - or indeed contributions which
present as a critical area for discussion gender and creativity - It is
within the theological stream so that needs to be borne in mind.
I personally think a contribution from India would be great - and especially
someone who can do some work on the representationof women - however I have
nothing to do with the colloquium- I was simply bringing to the attention of
this list the presence of colloquia in a prestigious western academic
location in 2003 which could boldly present a headlined list of senior males
- and no females - an act in my humble opinion of homotheological
insouciance carrying forward from masculinist interpretations of the initial
'let there be' in Genesis 1 - with ne'er a female form in sight.
