A fixed term contract/consultancy exists for the right person to co-ordinate
the development activities of the British Empire & Commonwealth Museum's
Understanding Slavery project.
Key responsibilities include general administration, developing a contacts
database, purchase ordering and financial record keeping, researching paper
archives for schools' materials and assisting in evaluation activities.
Key skills include a proactive approach to work, excellent organizational
skills, knowledge of educational issues and the teaching of history. An
interest in the subject of slavery would be an advantage.
Payment - £2500 fixed fee payable against milestones for approximately 1 and
a half days a week work September 03 - March 04.
