Dear all,
I would like to know whether there are ways to speed up registration of
volumes that are oriented similarly, by proper selection of commandline
parameters. I have a transaxial T1 high resolution image that needs to be
registered with ICBM standard brain.
What is meant by "virtually oriented" in Flirt GUI? What does no search
option mean? Scaling only?
I'm especially interested in the meaning of the rotational search range
options. Is it useful to narrow the range if it is known a priori that
rotation will not be, for example, more than plus minus 45 degrees? How
should the coarse and fine search delta angles be chosen optimally if it is
known that rotation will be limited to certain range? Do they refer to
different resolution steps in the multiresolution registration? Are there
any other issues that might be useful with respect to this question?
Thankful for your help,
Antti
