Applications are invited for an "Image Processing and Databasing" research
position within a large and dynamic medical image analysis group at Oxford
University. The post is funded by a 3-year EPSRC grant "Information
Extraction from Images", a collaborative grant between King's College
London, Imperial College London and Oxford which aims to provide
distributed databases and processing servers for large amounts of
pathological brain MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) data.
This post will involve working with the other collaborative members of the
project, developing brain image analysis software tools for the specific
needs of the project, including setting up GRID-based (distributed)
data/analysis compute servers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied/engineering
mathematics, image processing and programming. A relevant PhD is ideal but
not essential.
