Eric Willstaedt wrote about Robert Andrew:
"I thought we had to post messages in an english
language format, using
proper
syntax and all of that.... just curious... not sure
if this message
was
suppose to be SPAM or just lack of focus on the
writer."
We don't have to post messages in any particular
'format', Eric; if we did your post wouldn't make it
past the grammar police.
But since you ask, English takes an upper case 'E',
random clauses separated by '...' is highly improper,
'suppose' should be 'supposed' and 'lack of focus on
the writer' means Robert wasn't focusing 'on the
writer' whereas he wasn't discussing a writer, he was
discussing Kill Bill and violence, as was clear to
most of us. In fact his clear and enlightening posts
are much more interesting than your misplaced
snobbery, doubly ironic given your poor grasp of the
basics of grammar and syntax.
I hope Robert doesn't think that everyone on this list
shares Eric's obnoxious, ignorant, and facile
viewpoint.
